Winner of Texas Historical Commission’s John L. Nau, III Award of Excellence in Museums

Drew Patterson Studios partnered with Pony Allen Studios to design, build and install the permanent exhibits in the newly restored historic building in downtown Cuero, Texas. We were responsible for every aspect of the museum’s exhibit including content development, archival document and imagery research and procurement, space design, lighting design, graphic design, artifact procurement and mounting, script writing, artwork and interactive and audio/visual content including a twenty minute film about the cowboy and the cattle drives. The museum explores the early days of South Texas cattle ranching, vaqueros and cowboys and the Chisholm Trail cattle drives of the late 19th century. The exhibit features horse gear from the University of Texas’s Tinker Collection.
